Well, better late than never! It took a while, but here is the comic originally intended for June (uncountably many apologies for the delay).  The good news is that we're planning on being back to a more regular (roughly twice per month) posting schedule starting this month.

Tensors can be defined in lots of different ways; this is just one way to think of them. It's not uncommon for tensors to be introduced as multi-dimensional arrays which "transform nicely", but this obscures their mathematical nature. The definition of tensors that we are using is (hopefully) accessible to those with no prior knowledge of tensors (some basic linear algebra required).
